Paloma Gómez is the founder and developer of the initial Olefit concept and content, she was the first person to see the potential and benefits of Luis Lorente’s idea. Paloma is a dancer and choreographer. A former member of the Ballet Nacional de España (which she joined at just 16) and later a prima ballerina in some of the most important Spanish dance companies, she is currently a soloist and internationally renowned choreographer.
She has habitually worked and continues to do so in the United States, particularly in Chicago, assiduously collaborating as a choreographer and guest star with the Ensemble Español – Spanish Dance Theater (perhaps the most important Spanish dance company in the United States). In her latest collaboration, she danced as a guest soloist in a piece with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra as part of their 25th anniversary celebration program. She frequently teaches master classes in Spanish dance and flamenco to professionals in different countries (United States, Canada, Israel, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, etc.). And wherever she goes, on account of her unpretentious and open nature, she is asked to give classes to amateurs who feel a passion for Spanish dance, despite their lack of advanced training and knowledge. She feels true passion for the art she has practiced since the age of three in all its genres (flamenco, classical Spanish, and bolero), first with her parents, both dancers, and later with some of the greatest teachers on the Spanish and international scene, all on top of a solid foundation of classical ballet over 10 years of intense work. This intense and passionate way of working is what has taken her to the top in her career.
